Community Services Board

The Orleans Community Services Board is the Local Governmental Unit (LGU) that oversees the County’s Mental Health Dept., and its services contracted for Drug/Alcohol Treatment (through UConnectCare) and Developmental Disabilities (through ARC).  The County’s Legislature has control over the funding and the Board is responsible for the implementing of Mental Health services, and ensuring that they are addressing the needs of the three disciplines.  The nine-member Board, follows its’ By-Laws in meeting at least nine times a year, while each represents the Board on at least one of the three disciplines’ sub-committees. A Local Services Plan is developed and reviewed annually, along with the Mental Health Department’s Budget and Corporate Compliance Plan.
